Powerwall 3 is an all-in-one battery back-up system typically charged by solar power and used in residential or light commercial applications. It can also be charged by the grid. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack provides energy storage for self consumption, time-based control and back-up during grid failures. Powerwall 3’s compact and simple design means that installation is straightforward and your system can be commissioned in a day.

Each Powerwall 3 has a maximum continuous output of 11.5Kw AC at 240V split-phase using its powerful inbuilt AC inverter. Powerwall 3 stores 13.5 kWh of usable energy in a sleek form factor.
If you require more energy storage you can add a Powerwall 3 Expansion Unit to your system. A Powerwall 3 Expansion unit is a modular battery-only add-on (no internal AC inverter) and stores 13.5kWh of usable energy.
Each Powerwall 3 can be mated to a maximum of 3 x Powerwall Expansion Units
Each installation site can utilise a maximum of 4 x Powerwall 3 units and 12 x Expansion Packs for a total of 216kWh of energy storage

Always know how much power you are generating, how much power you are using and how much energy you have stored in your Powerwall.

A single Gateway 3 is required for each Powerwall 3 installation and control up to 4 x Powerwall 3 units at a single site.
Gateway 3 is a power management and energy control system designed to work with Powerwall 3. Gateway 3 acts as the “brain” for the system and manages the flow of energy between the solar panels on the roof, the Powerwall 3 and the grid while also providing back-up power during and outage.
