Grid-Tied Systems
These systems must be tied to the public utility grid to operate and provide solar energy to your business or residence during daylight hours. These systems are able to sell back excess energy generated to the grid should you wish. They do not offer power during the night or during a power outage as a result of the utility grid going down. Grid-tied systems do not use batteries to store energy and are best suited to offset electrical loads that operate during daylight hours.
